As expected for Price rangeBought this barrel for a home build project. It is what I expected for the price range. Fit and finish were good, threads on both ends of the barrel were properly cut. I especially liked that they offer this with the Savage barrel nut, as it is much more user friendly. Chamber dimensions are very tight, and you'll need to polish it up a bit to ensure proper chambering, but I've found this is quite common among barrels in this caliber.
My only complaint is the thread dimensions on the muzzle end. I'd have liked to have the option for larger threads, and not have to use a different adapter to mount my suppressor to my bolt gun, then change it out to mount it to the same caliber AR-15. A minor inconvenience, and in no way reflects on the quality and workmanship, but having the option to choose would be nice.
This barrel makes for a fun thumper gun, and very user friendly for the home build gunsmith. Having the muzzle already threaded makes mounting a suppressor or brake quite simple.
