That is a great product. But 9mm ar15s can be very finicky. It didnt work well with a stern defence glock mag adapter I believe because the extractor is positioned where it doesn't have enough time to eject fully before the bolt closes. Switched to the kak 5.5 oz 9mm buffer which is 100% reliable for my build. (Posted on 11/6/19)

Was in the process of building an ar9, and could not decide what buffer I needed, I tried using the standard ar buffer weight and it felt like it was going to launch it though the buffer tube and into my shoulder. I recently bought a 10.5" 9mm upper from PSA to use on my registered SBR lower. The upper came with a KAK flash can so that lead me to find the KAK website. Since I needed a mag well adapter too I decided to try out the KAK adapter. It looked like a very well thought out design and at about half the price of one of the more popular brand adapters. (I left a good review on the adapter too). While looking at the adapter I saw the 9mm extended carbine buffer recommended as something others bought with the mag well adapter. I did some research on extended pistol caliber buffers and the need for heavier buffers on pistol caliber ARs. Since I was using a JP silent buffer in my SBR lower with my 5.56 and 300BLK uppers I knew it would not be compatible with the 9mm bolt so I needed a different buffer for the 9mm upper. Everything I read said the extended heavy carbine buffers were the way to go to minimize damage to your both catch if using a 9mm set up to hold open after the last round. Since I was getting the mag well adapter and the price on this buffer was very good compared to other similar types I went ahead and ordered it. Very glad I did, it works perfectly. This will make a great addition to your 9mm AR build. I didn't even know they were a thing before KAK. (Posted on 9/24/17)

I haven't got a chance to try it out yet . Waiting on more parts. As far as quality , as expected. Well made and good weight. The extended length eliminated having to buy the spring buffer spacer along with the regular buffer. Add the cost of them and compare to this one and you decide. I using this with a tuned AR carbine spring. Can't wait to try it out. (Posted on 2/24/17)

The length and weight are perfect. Performs exactly as it should.Why pay twice as much for stainless or a buffer with someone's name on it. This is the second buffer I have purchased and they work.
